Pumpkin Cookies

With the change in seasons from summer to fall, you can’t not start leaning in to the warmth, and spice of all things pumpkin. This recipe delivers all the ahhhhh of the season.

Pumpkin Cookies

Course Cookie, Dessert, Snack

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin pumpkin puree or pumpkin filling will work
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon ground
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375oF.
    Mix sugar, pumpkin and shortening with an electric mixer until well blended.
    Sift dry ingredients and stir into blended mixture. 
    Drop by teaspoon full onto prepared baking sheet. 
    Bake for 8-10 minutes, longer if needed.
