Peachy Pork – Slow Cooker
This was a favourite of ours when Mom would make it. You can use any type of pork chop. Serve with no yolk egg noodles and light buns to soak up the juices. Mmmmmmmm
Equipment
- Slow Cooker
Ingredients
- 6-8 pork chops
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1 can tomato sauce 8 oz / 236 ml
- 1 can peach halves with juice
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
Instructions
- Use the thickest pork chops you can get. If the chops are too thin, they will disintegrate in the slow cooker. If you reduce the time in the cooker, you will probably be okay. In a skillet, brown pork chops on both sides and place in a slow cooker. Combine sugar, cinnamon, cloves, tomato sauce, ¼ cup of the syrup from peaches and the vinegar. Pour sauce over pork chops and place peach halves on top. Cook on low for 4-5 hours.
