Hamburger Stroganoff
From Rose ArmstrongFor dinner on a budget. Serve with rice. Cook some sliced carrots and you have a quick meal.
Ingredients
- 454 grams hamburger 1 lb
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup onion chopped
- 1 cup celery chopped
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- dash soy sauce
- 1 – 1-1/2 cups beef broth
- salt & pepper
Instructions
- Brown hamburger in a little oil or use water.Add chopped onion and celery. When meat is browned sprinkle over 1/4 cup of flour stirring well. This will thicken. Add the soy sauce blending well. Go easy on the soya sauce in the dish or serve on the side.Add beef broth or water stirring well. Cover pan and let simmer 15 minutes. Adjust seasoning of salt and pepper before serving.
